is one of the most talked things in the smart phone industry. Accompanying it are dozens of rumours and speculations concerning the 5 design and hardware specs.

While we reported just yesterday that a complete design makeover, reports now claim that ’s next iPhone may ‘closely’ resemble its current phone i.e., iPhone 4.

However, some of the that were speculated earlier (including an 8 megapixel camera sensor and faster dual-core processor) still find place in the latest sheets.

According to some sources (who wish to be anonymous for obvious reasons), Apple’s next iPhone will more or less resemble iPhone 4 in terms of design and build.

Weighing the pros and cons of this by the series of rumours about the device’s entirety since long, we are sometimes coerced to believe that Apple would call it iPhone 4S, for the possible fact that it will just be a spec bumped version of the current iPhone 4 (like the iPhone 4G and subsequent release of iPhone 3GS with bumped up specs) and not involve any major redesign.

Also there have been reports that Apple may instead launch the next iPhone in September along with iOS 5 and avoid the unholy act of breaking its tradition by announcing the next-gen  iPhone a month earlier as reported yesterday.

Besides this, Apple is also said to be working on a relatively smaller and cheaper version of iPhone for developing countries so that its influence could prevail among more common masses (who were willing to buy an iPhone but seemingly held off due to the ‘expensive’ price tags).

Some (including us) hope it will be called as – a device with similar hardware as that of iPhone 4 but with a lighter price tag than the iPhone 4, and perhaps with a smaller display.

While all those rumours continue to boil, we eagerly anticipate hearing about this officially from Apple: of course, when the time is ripe.

Meanwhile, we will continue to keep you updated as more details surface. Stay tuned!
